Shaiks [CLOSED SPECIES]

I really REALLY wanted to make like a bird-human species th ing,,, Yes I realize they are similar to harpies but hold ur darn horses you whipper snapper.. 
I plan to release traits soon! 

Shaiks are a species that are either sentient (like humans) OR can be seen as pets/servants. People often opt for the latter option as who would not want a pretty bird servant? Sentient Shaiks can often be seen wearing clothing and strutting around in public. Their feathers are velvet soft, and are used sometimes in clothing! Please note no harm comes to the Shaik. The ends of the wings can morph into hands if NEED BE, but they would rather they stay wings! 

Basic Info (In point form):
-Lay eggs!
-When a mommy shaik and a papa shaik love each other very much they-
-Shaik is pronounced like SHAKE, but please do not shake them.
-This species is roughly 8 ft in height! The wingspan varies between 10-20 feet in length. 
-Their coats/feathers are often themed after REAL birds. Very rarely will it be a random theme.
-Shaiks can use very basic magic, often used for taking care of plants, pets, cleaning.. 
-they can be covered in gemstones, but not on the wings as that would limit flight.
-two teeny weeny toes for gripping (not well)

Shaiks simply just appeared in the world one day. No one knows where it is they came from. Humans seem to enjoy their company at the very least!
